1. Cancellations due to Weather Conditions:
In the event that sea conditions are unfavorable (as determined by Chania Getaways), including severe wind factors rendering the activity unsafe, we will make every effort to reschedule the reservation for a mutually convenient date, subject to availability. Please note that weather conditions in Marathi and its surrounding areas may vary, and we advise guests not to be discouraged by potential wind or adverse weather conditions in other regions of Crete.
2. Refund Policy:
If rescheduling is not possible, and the reservation must be canceled due to weather conditions, a full refund of any amount paid will be issued.
3. Guest Cancellations:
A. In case of cancellation up to 15 days before the reservation date, a full refund of the amount paid will be provided.
B. In case of cancellation within 15 days or less before the reservation date, no refund will be issued.
4. Privacy Policy/Personal Data:
Chania Getaways respects the privacy of its clients. Any personal data or information provided by clients will not be used publicly or for purposes other than the company's private matters.
5. Validity:
These terms and conditions, including the cancellation policy, are applicable to all reservations and activities in Marathi during the 2024 season. Note: Chania Getaways reserves the right to make changes to these terms and conditions if necessary, and any such changes will be communicated to clients in a timely manner. Clients are advised to review the terms and conditions periodically for updates.
6. Fuel Policy:
The cost of fuel is not included in the reservation price. Before boarding, the customer is informed and, upon their presence, receives the boat with a full fuel tank. Upon returning the boat to the port, a company representative checks the fuel tank, refuels it, and informs the customer directly about the cost to be paid..
Guests of third party websites are asked to give personal data in order to complete their online reservations. The data they are asked to give are upon the administrator – controller of the system.
There are many instances that we get data automatically. Such data are: IP address, type of device, location, date and time of accessing our system, pages that are visited and clicked, from which website someone came to our system, browser that is used, software that is used in the device or computer.
Our booking engines are integrated with other websites (online wholesalers, Online Travel Agents, etc) who are giving data about completed reservations. The data are used from controllers (administrators) for managing purposes.
We share the above personal data with third party systems for basic purposes of completing an online reservation. For example, we use a third party mail provider for security reasons (to avoid emails going to spam). Our systems are cloud and we use hosting services of Amazon.com (https://aws.amazon.com/security/) . In addition in some instances we share data with third party systems for managing or accounting purposes of the controller (administrator). Also we share data with banks and online payment gateways for successful secure transactions.
